Graphical User interfaces are typically constructed of various elements with different properties. This could be animated wallpapers in the background, a live video stream and some overlay interaction elements like e.g. a button. 

xbounds takes each individual visual element separately and transports this element independently. The transport for each group of elements is optimized to their specific properties and current communication channel properties. This enables xbounds to display eye-candy user interfaces like animations, transparencies and morphing in pixel accurate fashion also in HD resolution. GUI elements are re-rendered to the physical resolution of the sink device. This number of pixels is typically different and usually much higher than the Smartphone LCD resolution. 

xbounds uses a vector like advanced mathematical description of the visual scene. This provides a significant visible improvement compared to traditional bitmap scaling to match a higher screen resolution.
